Amplity is looking for a Director of Client Partnerships to identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities for our Learning and Development solutions within the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical market. In this remote role, you will use a consultative sales approach to build customized strategies, access key decision makers, and expand our footprint.
What You'll Do
- Act as the subject matter expert for Amplity Learning Solutions on introductory calls.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities based on experience and existing pharmaceutical relationships.
- Lead pitch presentations as part of multi-component proposals.
- Proactively call on prospective clients within your assigned territory.
- Develop and maintain an active new business pipeline to exceed revenue targets.
- Sell strategic consulting projects focused on learning and development.
- Own all aspects of business development initiatives for assigned clients and prospects.
- Develop and implement a strategic plan to maximize revenue through prospecting.
- Recommend traditional and innovative strategies to achieve client learning objectives.
- Build and maintain relationships with current and prospective clients, industry associations, and key decision makers.
- Develop and present proposals.
- Suggest strategic approaches, budgets, pricing, and presentations for client interactions.
- Serve as the communication channel between clients and internal teams, demonstrating deep L&D knowledge.
- Critically review reports, presentations, and RFPs, working with clients and internal teams through multiple iterations.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years in a business development role selling consulting or learning services within the pharmaceutical/life sciences industry.
- Documented record of successful sales and business development efforts.
- Demonstrated ability to access key decision makers and influencers who drive strategy and purchases.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SalesForce.com, and LinkedIn.
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Highly developed planning and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver solutions in a changing environment.
- Willingness to travel 30%.
Nice to Have
- MBA or other advanced degree.
- Ability to assess training needs and evaluate program effectiveness that supports employee growth.
- Proven record of accomplishment working with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent working knowledge in training/learning and development and adult learning strategies.
- Previous pharmaceutical training and development experience.
- Residence in the Central or Eastern US.
