Velsera is hiring a Director, Global Controller to oversee all day-to-day accounting functions and provide financial support to high-growth business units in the precision medicine industry. Reporting to the VP, Finance, you will manage the global monthly close, supervise international teams, and serve as the primary liaison for the year-end audit.
What You'll Do
- Manage all day-to-day accounting functions.
- Provide business and financial support to high growth business units within the precision medicine industry.
- Manage the global monthly close process, including budget to actual variance analysis and preparation of monthly financial reporting and quarterly compliance packages.
- Directly supervise the Global Accounting teams located in the US, Belgium, Serbia, and India.
- Supervise customer invoicing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and treasury administration, including cash forecasting.
- Act as the primary liaison with external accountants and lead the year-end audit.
- Create and implement policies and procedures to identify, resolve, and document accounting issues.
- Create procedures to make the close and reporting processes more efficient and accurate.
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of accounting experience, including the management of an accounting team.
- Professional Qualification Required.
Nice to Have
- Experience in public accounting (strongly preferred).
- General ledger accounting system implementation and integration - a strong plus.
Technical Stack
- Microsoft Office suite of products.
- NetSuite.
Team & Environment
You will report to the VP, Finance and directly supervise Global Accounting teams in the US, Belgium, Serbia, and India. The company has over 200 employees located in 8 different countries.
Work Mode
This is a remote position open to candidates based in the US (East Coast) or the UK.
