Fleetio is looking for a Director, Event Marketing to build our global field and event marketing function from the ground up. You will own the strategy and execution of event initiatives designed to generate pipeline, enhance customer relationships, and strengthen the Fleetio brand.
What You'll Do
- Develop and own the global field and events strategy spanning tradeshows, customer roadshows, ABM activations, and digital-to-in-person campaigns.
- Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Sales Programs, and Demand Generation to provide exceptional onsite event support and connect events to digital campaigns.
- Design and execute ABM and outbound event strategies for our top 10 enterprise and high mid-market accounts.
- Lead end-to-end execution of trade shows, user events, regional programs, and partner activations.
- Own budget, logistics, and ROI measurement for all event and field marketing investments.
- Collaborate with Product Marketing and Brand to ensure event content reflects Fleetio’s unique value.
- Hire, mentor, and scale a high-performing team as the function grows.
- Demonstrate scrappy, hands-on leadership, balancing strategic planning with direct execution.
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of progressive B2B marketing experience in field marketing, tradeshows, ABM, and customer event leadership.
- Proven track record building and executing integrated campaigns across digital and in-person channels.
- Deep understanding of enterprise (ENT), outbound, and ABM motions, with ability to translate them into effective event strategies.
- Strong alignment experience with Sales and Revenue teams to convert marketing efforts into measurable pipeline.
- Exceptional project management, communication, and vendor management skills.
- Strategic thinker who can operate at both high-level and detailed, execution-focused levels.
- Entrepreneurial and resourceful, comfortable leading with limited resources while setting a foundation for scalable growth.
- Willingness to travel for events and customer programs (approximately 25–30%).
Nice to Have
- SaaS experience strongly preferred.
Team & Environment
