Skydance Games is hiring a Director, Business Development and Licensing to lead strategic partnerships and commercial opportunities for Paramount. Reporting to the SVP of Business Development, you will be a key player in identifying growth opportunities and managing relationships within the gaming industry.
What You'll Do
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, and negotiate and structure licensing deals
- Leverage deep expertise in the gaming industry to identify emerging gaming trends and evaluate business opportunities
- Cultivate and nurture strong business relationships with game developers, platforms and partners
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Brand, Marketing, Communications, Creative, Production, Legal and Finance
- Stay closely connected to cultural trends, emerging formats and shifts in the entertainment landscape
- Drive value through licensing, business development and strategic partnerships
- Create and communicate presentations and materials related to deals and key strategic initiatives
- Pitch and secure new IP rights for licensing commercialization
- Source and negotiate third party development partnerships
- Source and negotiate new game content and manage existing game developer relationships
What We're Looking For
- 8 - 10 years working in licensing and business development in the video games industry at a studio, publisher or platform
- Ability to travel (25%)
- Demonstrated success in identifying and closing large scale licensing deals
- Enthusiasm and deep understanding of traditional business models and learning those flowing from emerging media
- Must be highly organized, detail oriented and poised and able to resolve issues and communicate effectively
- Strong negotiation skills, with experience in developing multi-year deals with multiple stakeholders
- Self-starter that demonstrates good judgment, takes initiative and gains consensus
- Strong relationship and project management skills
- Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results
Nice to Have
- Bachelor’s degree, MBA or JD strongly preferred

Benefits & Compensation
- Salary range: $215,000 – $240,000
Work Mode
This role operates on a hybrid schedule and is based in Los Angeles.
