About the Role

Gartner, Inc. is seeking a Director Analyst - Talent Management Technology to join our team of industry thought leaders. Analysts create must-have research, market predictions, and best practices for world-leading organizations. In this role, you will create high-quality, actionable research and provide direct advice to clients, helping them solve complex issues and make better strategic decisions.

What You'll Do

  • Create high-quality, clear, and actionable 'must-have research' content based on Gartner's research best practices and methodologies.
  • Bring experience implementing AI solutions in talent management processes to the creation of new research.
  • Develop new research and ideas through thought leadership, offering compelling approaches tailored to CHRO needs.
  • Provide high-quality and timely peer review for research content written by other Gartner team members.
  • Identify the root cause of a CHRO's barriers to change and reframe thinking to drive strategy forward.
  • Demonstrate thought leadership in establishing research positions about talent management technology.
  • Provide clients and prospects with actionable advice via virtual or face-to-face interactions.
  • Create and deliver presentation materials for Gartner events and client briefings.
  • Attend industry and professional association conferences as needed.
  • Predict market developments, assist clients in vendor selection, and help vendors with positioning.
  • Build credibility as a talent management technology expert representing Gartner research and strategy.
  • Actively participate in innovation, ideation, and research discussions, collaborating with peers.
  • Mentor and coach more junior team members, as needed.

What We're Looking For

  • 10+ years of relevant field or industry experience in strategic planning and implementation of talent management technology.
  • Recent experience in the use and/or implementation of AI.
  • Knowledge of talent and leadership identification and development, employee listening, competency models, performance management, succession planning, feedback, skills, change management, and people analytics.
  • Proven experience and comfort advising and working with CHROs and their peers.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Strong written and verbal proficiency, analytical and presentation skills.
  • Ability to engage clients and respond effectively to questions.
  • Ability to work independently while being intrinsically motivated to collaborate across multicultural global teams.
  • Demonstrated executive presence and the ability to immediately establish credibility with C-level executives.
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to work under tight deadlines and produce high-quality deliverables.
  • Superior analytical skills, applying conceptual models, recognizing patterns, and drawing and defending conclusions.
  • Excellence in research and writing ability.
  • Proficient in analyzing and synthesizing data and applying patterns and frameworks to client challenges.
  • Strong business and financial acumen.
  • Comfortable presenting at large and small-scale speaking engagements on talent management technology.
  • Learning agile and adept at navigating highly matrixed environments.
  • Ability to effectively adjust communication style to different audiences.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%.

Benefits & Compensation

  • Compensation range: $132,000 - $167,000 USD.
