The American Heart Association is looking for a Digital Multimedia Developer to own the day-to-day operations of our AV infrastructure, cloud-based workflows, and cross-platform tools. You will combine live event support, platform administration, and content production to deliver reliable and engaging multimedia experiences that advance our life-saving mission.
What You'll Do
- Serve as a direct technical resource and liaison to C-suite executives, their administrative staff, and department leaders during live broadcasts, streaming events, and studio productions.
- Travel to offsite events to provide on-location AV and production support.
- Provide in-room technical support for large events and assist with setups across conference spaces.
- Administer platform configuration, user management, and licensing for digital signage (Xibo), audience engagement (Mentimeter), video hosting (Vimeo), design (Canva), virtual meeting (Zoom), and documentation (Scribe) platforms.
- Own ticket management and hardware/software assets within ServiceNow and coordinate calendars, resources, events, and production timelines.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), system documentation, and runbooks for studio operations, event workflows, and platform administration.
- Configure and support core technologies such as AWS, NDI, IP networking, DMX, SSO, and VPN to ensure resilient and secure environments.
- Apply working knowledge across operating systems (Windows, macOS, Android, iOS) and networking hardware and protocols.
- Maintain, patch, and apply cybersecurity hardening to all studio and streaming equipment and software.
- Train and support staff across the organization on AV tools, platforms, and best practices.
- Provide technical support for hybrid and remote meeting participants, ensuring consistent experiences.
- Develop and maintain best practices for music use, production elements, AV optimization, audio normalization, captioning, recording workflows, and audience engagement.
- Perform audio and video editing to support live and on-demand content.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience supporting live events and studio/streaming environments in both on-prem and cloud contexts.
- Proficiency with AV production toolsets and control surfaces.
- Comfort troubleshooting across hardware, software, and network layers.
- Working knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, patch management, and documentation standards as applied to AV systems.
- Cross‑platform systems knowledge (Windows, macOS, iOS, Android) and enterprise networking basics.
- Minimum of 2 years of proven high-level performance in AV production, live event support, and studio/streaming environments.
Nice to Have
- Experience optimizing engagement in webinars (licensing, captions, analytics) and managing multi‑platform content delivery.
- Solid understanding of Dante audio networking.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Audition, After Effects, Photoshop).
- Live broadcast or multi-camera production experience.
- Scripting or automation skills (e.g., PowerShell, NodeJS, Bash, Bitfocus Companion scripting).
- Graphic design skills for event visuals, digital signage content, or promotional materials.
- Working knowledge of generative AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) and the ability to apply them to improve workflows, content production, documentation, or automation.
