Advocate Health (Atrium Health) is looking for a Dietitian Nutritionist to join our team in a full-time remote position. In this role, you will provide vital virtual medical nutrition therapy and counseling, specializing in weight management for patients across several states.

What You'll Do

Assess and monitor nutritional status, adjusting care plans using current scientific literature.
Provide comprehensive medical nutrition therapy (MNT) and counseling, including assessment, education, development, and implementation.
Complete consults and referrals promptly.
Communicate with physicians, nurses, and other team members to integrate nutrition into overall patient therapy.
Complete all required documentation, including nutritional care plans, assessments, and patient education records.
Develop, evaluate, and utilize educational materials; provide and assess effectiveness of patient and family education.
Provide periodic in-services on selected topics to team members and other disciplines.
Participate in basic skills orientation, training, and mentoring of team members and dietetic interns.
Teach and disseminate results and findings of nutrition research to medical teams, nursing, pharmacy, patients, and the public.
Communicate with multidisciplinary departments on patient care and provide performance feedback when applicable.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree if RD before 1/1/2024, or a Master's degree if RD on or after 1/1/2024.
RD/LDN registry eligible or Registered Dietitian (Commission on Dietetic Registration) and licensed by the applicable state Board of Dietetics and Nutrition.
If RD/LDN registry eligible, registration is required within 4 months of hire.
Demonstrated knowledge of principles of growth and development, with skills appropriate for the ages, culture, developmental stages, and special needs of the population served.
