Advocate Health (Atrium Health) is looking for a Dietitian Nutritionist to join our team in a full-time remote position. In this role, you will provide vital virtual medical nutrition therapy and counseling, specializing in weight management for patients across several states.
What You'll Do
- Assess and monitor nutritional status, adjusting care plans using current scientific literature.
- Provide comprehensive medical nutrition therapy (MNT) and counseling, including assessment, education, development, and implementation.
- Complete consults and referrals promptly.
- Communicate with physicians, nurses, and other team members to integrate nutrition into overall patient therapy.
- Complete all required documentation, including nutritional care plans, assessments, and patient education records.
- Develop, evaluate, and utilize educational materials; provide and assess effectiveness of patient and family education.
- Provide periodic in-services on selected topics to team members and other disciplines.
- Participate in basic skills orientation, training, and mentoring of team members and dietetic interns.
- Teach and disseminate results and findings of nutrition research to medical teams, nursing, pharmacy, patients, and the public.
- Communicate with multidisciplinary departments on patient care and provide performance feedback when applicable.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree if RD before 1/1/2024, or a Master's degree if RD on or after 1/1/2024.
- RD/LDN registry eligible or Registered Dietitian (Commission on Dietetic Registration) and licensed by the applicable state Board of Dietetics and Nutrition.
- If RD/LDN registry eligible, registration is required within 4 months of hire.
- Demonstrated knowledge of principles of growth and development, with skills appropriate for the ages, culture, developmental stages, and special needs of the population served.

Work Mode
