The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is looking for a Diagnostic Radiology Technologist to join the team at the Capitol Mall Clinic. In this outpatient role, you will produce radiographic images for medical interpretation and collaborate with healthcare staff and patients to support UAMS’s mission of improving patient care and the lives of Arkansans.
What You'll Do
- Perform optimal x-rays, which requires the ability to lift 25lbs. or more.
- Rotate through several modalities including portables, surgery, fluoro, and the emergency department.
- Cover diagnostic imaging at the UAMS Health Specialty Center at Rodney Parham.
- Communicate effectively with patients, family members, co-workers, and physicians.
- Continuously learn new procedures and pursue ongoing education.
- Answer phones and coordinate with different hospital departments.
- Move C-ARM and OARM equipment.
- Interact with the public in a professional and friendly manner.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and demonstrate positive working relationships.
- Assist internal and external stakeholders with exceptional customer service.
What We're Looking For
- Graduate from a two (2) year certificate program certified by the ASRT in Radiology Technology.
- Registered or eligible by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
- Licensed or eligible for license by the State of Arkansas in Radiology Technology.
Nice to Have
- More than one (1) year of experience in diagnostic radiology or a related field.
- CPR certification.
