Responsibilities
- Treat both new and existing customers like a family member.
- Serve as inbound and/or outbound phone specialist for the Diabetes Care department.
- Set-up new customer accounts for medical products service, such as diabetes supplies. Support customers with concerns or questions to include training delays, warranties, and supply ordering issues.
- Obtain insurance, referral, physician, and patient demographic information.
- Effectively communicate with peers and other department personnel to make a positive impact.
- The exercise of discretion and judgement in obtaining prior authorization/pre-certification/pre-determination and Certificates of Medical Necessity per insurance requirements to determine shipment and billing.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- At least 1+ year’s experience in a customer service organizations or healthcare environment.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced multi-tasked environment.
- Word processing skill of 40 WPM.
- Detail oriented.

Additional Information
- This is a full-time, non-exempt position.
- Schedule is 8:15am - 5:00pm, Monday through Friday.
- All while allowing for personal time every evening, weekend, and holiday.
