About the Role

The engineer will bridge security, development, and operations by implementing secure pipelines, monitoring vulnerabilities, and supporting cloud infrastructure with a focus on compliance and resilience.

Responsibilities

  • Integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines
  • Monitor systems for security threats and anomalies
  • Automate security testing across development stages
  • Support cloud infrastructure deployment and maintenance
  • Ensure compliance with federal security standards
  • Respond to security incidents and support remediation
  • Develop scripts and tools for operational efficiency
  • Collaborate with development teams on secure coding practices
  • Maintain system documentation and security configurations
  • Perform vulnerability scanning and risk assessments
  • Enforce access controls and identity management policies
  • Optimize system performance and reliability
  • Implement encryption and data protection measures
  • Participate in system design and architecture reviews
  • Support audit readiness and security posture reviews
  • Stay current with emerging security threats and technologies
  • Contribute to incident response planning and execution
  • Promote a culture of security awareness across teams
  • Manage configuration baselines for secure environments
  • Work with monitoring and logging tools for threat detection
  • Support containerization and orchestration platforms
  • Apply infrastructure-as-code principles securely
  • Troubleshoot security and operational issues
  • Ensure secure deployment of application updates
  • Assist in certification and accreditation processes
