Agile Six is hiring a DevSecOps Engineer (Anticipated)

About the Role

Agile Six is looking for a DevSecOps Engineer to design and implement infrastructure-as-code, container orchestration, and deployment automations for our critical services. You will build cloud-native CI/CD workflows, integrate security controls, and collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering teams.

What You'll Do

  • Define and manage IaC (using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation) for AWS resources and implement container orchestration (Kubernetes/EKS) and Docker workflows.
  • Integrate automated security testing, SBOM generation, vulnerability scanning, and compliance reporting into every pipeline.
  • Monitor pipeline health and infrastructure performance, surfacing metrics for continuous improvement.
  • Write reusable scripts, components, and services following modern software-engineering best practices.
  • Advocate for DevSecOps culture within the team by running demos, contributing to communities of practice, and assisting with recruiting.
  • Adapt responsibilities as project needs evolve, staying curious and committed to learning.
  • Support company engineering practice through outreach, recruitment, hiring, and occasional business development efforts.

  • Proven use of IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) and orchestration technology (Kubernetes/EKS, Docker).
  • Deep understanding of DevOps best practices including CI/CD, automated testing, pipeline monitoring, and cultural evangelism.
  • Solid track record working on Agile teams and within open-source, collaborative environments.
  • Familiarity with AI tools/services and a willingness to apply them responsibly for better outcomes.
  • Has lived and worked in the United States for at least 3 of the last 5 years and is able to travel occasionally if required.

  • AWS certifications such as Solutions Architect Pro, DevOps Engineer Pro, SysOps Admin, or Developer Associate.
  • Proficiency in Java, Python, and/or Ruby and experience with testing frameworks like JUnit, Mockito, or Pytest.
