About the Role
This role involves improving deployment pipelines, managing cloud environments, and ensuring system reliability through automation and monitoring. The engineer will work closely with development and operations teams to deliver robust solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for efficient software delivery
- Manage cloud infrastructure using platforms such as AWS or similar
- Implement infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot production issues
- Ensure high availability and reliability of services
- Automate operational processes to reduce manual intervention
- Support containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Enforce security best practices across environments
- Collaborate with development teams to resolve deployment challenges
- Optimize cloud resource usage and control costs
- Maintain version control systems and branching strategies
- Respond to system outages and participate in on-call rotations
- Document system architecture and operational procedures
- Integrate monitoring and alerting tools for proactive issue detection
- Contribute to disaster recovery planning and execution
- Improve system scalability and fault tolerance
- Perform regular system audits and compliance checks
- Evaluate and introduce new DevOps tools and technologies
- Support testing environments with consistent configurations
- Ensure logging standards are implemented and maintained
- Work with configuration management tools such as Ansible or Chef
- Assist in migration of legacy systems to modern platforms
- Promote a culture of continuous integration and delivery
- Participate in code and infrastructure reviews
- Align DevOps practices with business objectives
