Symphony Solutions is hiring a DevOps Engineer Intern for a hands-on role designed for 3rd or 4th year university students. This internship is for those passionate about infrastructure, automation, and cloud technologies who are eager to gain real-world experience while continuing their studies.
What You'll Do
- Assist with maintaining and improving our infrastructure
- Support the setup and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines
- Work with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes
- Help automate routine operational tasks
- Participate in monitoring, troubleshooting, and improving system reliability
- Collaborate with engineers to refine development and deployment workflows
- Learn and apply DevOps best practices directly to real projects
What We're Looking For
- You are a 3rd or 4th year student in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
- A basic understanding of Linux systems and experience running Linux in a local environment (VM, WSL, or server)
- Familiarity with at least one scripting language like Bash or Python
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts
- Understanding of containerization concepts (experience with Docker is a plus)
- Basic understanding of CI/CD concepts
- Hands-on experience through personal projects, home labs, or university coursework
- Good problem-solving skills and a strong willingness to learn
- The ability to effectively combine this internship with your ongoing university studies
- An English level of Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher
- Interest in applying AI tools to software engineering and DevOps workflows
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with any cloud platform (AWS, GCP, Azure, or others)
- Experience with Git and version control workflows
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or Pulumi
- Practical experience working with Kubernetes
- Personal DevOps, cloud, or infrastructure-related projects
- Experience using AI assistants (ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Claude, etc.) for coding, troubleshooting, or learning
