VSolvit is hiring a Development Associate to support our fundraising and donor stewardship efforts. Reporting to the Director of Development, you will play a key operational role by maintaining donor systems, coordinating events, and providing administrative support to ensure the smooth execution of our development strategy.
What You'll Do
- Research new grant and funding opportunities from foundations, corporations, and other institutional funders.
- Support donor research and segmentation by maintaining accurate donor profiles and engagement history.
- Assist with maintaining dashboards and reports within DonorPerfect to track fundraising progress.
- Coordinate gift processing activities to ensure all donations are accurately recorded and reported.
- Prepare and coordinate donor acknowledgement letters and year-end tax letters.
- Support donor stewardship initiatives including new donor outreach and monthly donor recognition.
- Maintain development tracking systems for sponsorships, pledges, and fundraising pipelines.
- Receive and process incoming payments; maintain check logs and prepare deposits.
- Track key fundraising metrics and development performance indicators.
- Provide administrative and logistical support for fundraising and donor engagement events.
- Pull event registration reports and maintain participant lists.
- Prepare event materials including registration lists and nametags.
- Support post-event donor follow-up and ensure participation information is documented.
- Maintain external nonprofit reporting platforms such as Charity Navigator and GuideStar.

- A minimum of 3 years' experience in a nonprofit setting.
- Ability to work well under pressure, handle multiple projects, and manage tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to navigate development data with ease.

- A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with initiative to take ownership of tasks.
- Ability to handle confidential materials with the utmost discretion.
- A highly proven level of integrity and a high moral compass.
- Flexibility and organization to provide support on a range of needs.
- Strong willingness to be a team player.
- Must have a valid driver's license and a personal vehicle for events.
- A high school diploma or GED.
