Qdrant is looking for a Developer Relations Engineer to serve as our voice and technical guide in the AI ecosystem. This role blends hands-on engineering with education and community leadership, empowering developers to build sophisticated AI applications with our vector database. You will be an individual contributor spending ~60% of your time on technical work and ~40% on content, speaking, and community engagement.

What You'll Do

Develop and maintain open-source showcase applications, including end-to-end RAG pipelines, recommendation engines, and AI search tools.
Conduct research into emerging AI patterns to prototype new use cases and experiment with cutting-edge embedding models and indexing techniques.
Produce educational resources like deep-dive technical blog posts, video tutorials, and clear tutorials.
Lead Qdrant's presence at hackathons and workshops, organizing challenges and mentoring developers.
Deliver compelling presentations and live coding sessions at conferences and workshops.
Actively participate in the AI developer community on platforms like Discord, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, and GitHub, acting as a first responder to technical questions.
Host and participate in local and regional meetups, technical mixers, and industry conferences as the primary contact for the local AI scene.

What We're Looking For

Strong coding background in Python, Rust, JavaScript, or Go.
Genuine fascination with vector search, embeddings, and LLMs.
Ability to explain technical architecture with clarity and enthusiasm in writing and on stage.
Already plugged into (or eager to lead) the local tech community and thrive in high-energy AI engineering environments.
Creative mindset to create tutorials and show off technical features through code and storytelling.
Self-starter who can work independently while maintaining deep empathy for developers.
