Deutsche Telekom IT Solutions Hungary Kft. is seeking a skilled System Administrator to join our team. You will take ownership of our virtualized infrastructure, ensuring its smooth operation and performance through proactive administration and support.
What You'll Do
- Install, configure, and manage VMWare ESXi hosts and vSphere environments.
- Perform regular updates, patches, and upgrades to maintain the VMWare infrastructure.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation.
- Create, deploy, and manage virtual machines according to business requirements.
- Perform regular backups and restorations of virtual machines and configurations.
- Configure virtual environments for high availability and disaster recovery.
- Provide technical support and resolve issues related to VMWare systems.
- Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, changes, and procedures.
- Implement security best practices, including access controls and patch management.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
- Monitor and manage resource allocation (CPU, memory, storage).
- Perform capacity planning and optimize resource usage for efficiency.
- Configure and manage virtual networks and integrate storage solutions (SAN, NAS).
- Collaborate with other IT team members on projects and initiatives.
- Provide training and support to end-users and junior staff.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a System Administrator with a focus on VMWare ESXi/vSphere.
- Strong knowledge of VMWare vCenter and related virtualization technologies.
- Proficiency in VMWare ESXi and vSphere administration and familiarity with tools like PowerCLI.
- A strong understanding of networking concepts (VLANs, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP).
- Knowledge of storage systems (SAN, NAS) and their integration with VMWare.
- The ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
