About the Role
The role involves delivering hands-on technical support for desktop systems, resolving user issues efficiently, and maintaining the reliability of end-user computing environments.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve desktop hardware problems
- Install and configure desktop computers and peripherals
- Support operating system software and updates
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues
- Provide assistance with email configuration and issues
- Manage user accounts and access permissions
- Respond to service desk tickets promptly
- Maintain accurate records of support activities
- Assist with onboarding new employees
- Perform routine system maintenance tasks
- Support remote access tools and virtual desktops
- Escalate complex technical issues appropriately
- Follow documented IT procedures and policies
- Assist with software deployment and patching
- Ensure compliance with security standards
- Work with vendors for equipment repair and replacement
- Maintain inventory of desktop assets
- Support mobile devices used by staff
- Assist with video conferencing setup and troubleshooting
- Provide after-hours support when required
Nice to Have
- CompTIA A+ certification
- Experience with macOS systems
- Familiarity with scripting languages
- Knowledge of group policy management
