Responsibilities
- Define requirements for main electrical plant and auxiliary systems to support System Construction Authorisation, technical project specifications, and BETTA documentation, including input on construction and outage planning.
- Develop preliminary and detailed engineering designs and specifications for switchgear, transformers, and other key electrical infrastructure components.
- Evaluate tender responses technically, and review or prepare design drawings and specifications for main plant equipment.
- Ensure substation designs and selected equipment comply with current regulations, company policies, and operational needs.
- Support project teams with technical expertise on main plant design, construction, and operation, and lead resolution of electrical issues arising during site works.
- Produce engineering documentation in line with quality procedures to meet deliverables for Project Quality Plans and BETTA requirements.
- Carry out responsibilities with a focus on health, safety, quality, and environmental compliance, and engage with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated engineering solutions.
- Assist in identifying training needs for new products and contribute to the creation and delivery of technical, operational, and safety training materials.
- Collaborate across engineering disciplines to ensure end-to-end integration of technical solutions.
