The Derivatives Trader manages, expands, and takes ownership of major revenue-generating products on the trading desks. This role requires real-time decision-making, active risk and inventory oversight, teamwork with traders at all levels, and leading strategic enhancements to trading operations during European time zones.
Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of key revenue-generating products, including maintaining and growing their performance
- Oversee all risk and inventory positions held by the trading team
- Make rapid, informed decisions in live market conditions using deep market understanding
- Work closely with team leads, senior and junior traders, and risk managers to refine systems and operations
- Lead initiatives to improve the trading strategy's structure and long-term effectiveness
Requirements
- One year of experience in options market making on a trading desk
- Available to work overnight hours from 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.
- Proven ability to evaluate and manage risk in a derivatives portfolio
- Demonstrated enthusiasm for trading and financial markets
- Motivated to create and refine trading strategies and models
- Persistent in identifying and resolving complex problems
- Strong quantitative and numerical reasoning skills

Compensation
$150,000-155,000 yearly with annual discretionary bonus eligibility. Performance bonuses, relocation assistance, training opportunities
