JOB OVERVIEW:
This role is tasked with driving sales expansion and operational optimization within a designated geographic region, overseeing a territory approximating $100M in value. The position integrates leadership, sales management, and business development to enhance market penetration, profitability, and operational effectiveness. Responsibilities encompass comprehensive field sales management, collaborative field operations engagement, and strategic market growth initiatives. The role prioritizes cultivating a collaborative environment, maintaining customer-centricity, and propelling sales through proactive leadership and relationship cultivation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sales Growth & Market Expansion: Proactively increase regional sales through strategic approaches, expanding existing customer relationships and identifying emerging business opportunities. Spearhead primary vendor agreement establishment and maintain robust customer connections.
Leadership & Coaching: Provide direct leadership to regional sales and operations teams. Mentor and develop team members, emphasizing career progression and performance excellence.
Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior leadership to implement comprehensive sales and marketing strategies. Ensure regional objectives align with corporate goals, driving profitability through margin management, expense control, and revenue enhancement.
Customer Engagement & Relationship Management: Develop and sustain strong relationships with key customers, vendors, and stakeholders. Consistently engage to ensure satisfaction, loyalty, and identify service improvement opportunities.
P&L Management & Financial Accountability: Manage regional financial performance, overseeing profit and loss statements and ensuring alignment with corporate profitability objectives. Implement strategies to optimize gross profit and resource allocation.
Talent Development & Recruitment: Lead comprehensive recruiting efforts for sales and operations personnel, including training and onboarding responsibilities. Establish continuous development programs to enhance team performance.
Collaboration & Communication: Serve as primary liaison between corporate leadership and regional teams. Facilitate effective communication of corporate initiatives, sales strategies, and competitive intelligence.
Operations & Marketing Oversight: Implement national and regional marketing programs to drive growth. Collaborate closely with operations teams to ensure efficient supply chain processes and contract compliance.
Special Projects: Participate in critical corporate initiatives, including regional and national conventions, customer events, and company meetings.

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:
Typically 10+ years of progressively complex professional experience; minimum 3 years management experience.
PREFERRED EDUCATION:

TRAVEL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Up to 50% travel supporting regional teams, attending meetings, and engaging with key clients and stakeholders. No specialized physical requirements.
