About the Role

Denova Collaborative Health LLC is looking for a Medical Assistant (Float) to play a vital role in supporting clinical teams by ensuring seamless patient care and provider support across various locations. This position is key to maintaining high-quality care and operational flexibility within our collaborative, 'whole person' health model.

What You'll Do

  • Prepare patient charts for upcoming visits, ensuring all necessary forms are completed, reviewed, and properly integrated.
  • Welcome patients, conduct check-in, and escort them to examination rooms.
  • Perform delegated medical tasks, including recording vitals, medical history, and reasons for the visit, documenting all in the patient's medical record.
  • Conduct visual acuity screenings as part of routine physical exams.
  • Administer injections and assist providers with medical procedures.
  • Perform blood draws, collect specimens, conduct urine drug screenings, and communicate results.
  • Maintain cleanliness and readiness of exam rooms between appointments, including stocking necessary supplies and disposing of expired supplies and biohazard waste.
  • Work collaboratively with providers to troubleshoot patient issues.

What We're Looking For

  • Must have reliable transportation and be willing to work at different locations depending on business needs.
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant certificate or a CAAHEP-accredited program required.
  • Must hold valid and current CPR and First Aid certifications, and an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card (Denova will assist with obtaining upon acceptance of offer).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Applicants must be 21 years of age or older to qualify for this position.

Nice to Have

  • An associate degree in a health-related field or certification as a Medical Assistant preferred.
  • At least six months of healthcare experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in using electronic record-keeping systems such as EMR, billing software, insurance carrier portals, and spreadsheets preferred.
  • Bilingual candidates are highly valued, but not a requirement.
