DuPont is seeking a Demand Planner to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the development and accuracy of the 24-month horizon, unconstrained demand plan for all regions. You will gain alignment on actions to execute the plan, track progress, communicate with stakeholders, and work to improve future plans.
What You'll Do
- Analyze Multi View forecast inputs from sales, marketing, and product teams and challenge as appropriate. Validate statistics provided by the demand analyst.
- Align and assure buy-in on plans including numbers, risks, opportunities, and actions with sales, marketing, and product team members on a continuing basis.
- Continuously communicate, network with, and process all relevant demand information into actionable plans for your area of responsibility.
- Through analysis, determine how to create a single plan and generate the initial consensus demand plan monthly for your area for a 24-month horizon.
- As needed, with the demand manager, generate additional demand scenarios for supply and business analysis.
- Analyze actual performance and demand metrics to identify causes of forecast error and bias. Drive corrective action to reduce bias and improve accuracy.
- Prepare for and help lead the Global Demand Review and supporting pre-meetings, including preparation of assumptions to justify the plan, significant changes, and risks.
- Support the Supply Review process with master planners to analyze and generate the demand/supply balanced plan, especially when constraints exist.
- Track, adjust, and analyze demand activity as it occurs to ensure the best possible outcome for specific plan elements in execution.
- Support Differentiated Forecast Strategy (DFS) development and maintenance by validating the statistical results generated by the demand analyst.
- Maintain the demand plan in the planning system and ensure accurate disaggregation for your area of responsibility.
- Maintain appropriate process capability for demand management and lead improvements under the direction of the demand manager as appropriate.
What We're Looking For
- Undergraduate business, supply chain, or engineering degree and/or 5 years of experience in a commercial or supply chain organization.
- 3 years’ experience working in a commercial or supply chain organization.
- Six Sigma Green Belt Certification.
- 1 year of planning system experience (e.g., APO, OMP, SAP).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to manage by influence.
- Broad flexibility and aptitude to work in a team, across multiple functions.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Decision-making capability by relating and comparing; securing relevant information and developing alternative courses of action and aptitude for working with large data sets.
Nice to Have
- Industry Professional Training (Institute of Business Forecasting or APICS).
- Cross-functional knowledge with an external emphasis and understanding of the markets, customers, and distribution network.

This role is part of the Spectrum C&D business within the Industrial Solutions business at DuPont. You will work closely with market segment, product management, and regional sales leaders. The position reports to the Demand Manager.
