Perfetti Van Melle is looking for a Demand Forecaster to lead and improve demand forecasting and planning for our USA business. This role serves as the thought leader for statistical modeling methodologies and drives cross-functional alignment on forecasts.
What You'll Do
- Lead and improve demand/sales forecasting utilizing the Arkieva demand forecasting system.
- Engage Sales, Finance, and Supply Planning teams on customer demand changes and update forecast plans accordingly.
- Own statistical modeling methodologies for individual customer and product forecasts to improve accuracy.
- Analyze actual consumption vs. forecast to help the supply team maintain service levels and inventory targets.
- Lead the demand consensus component of the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes.
- Lead statistical analysis for the New Product Launch (NPL) process to ensure successful execution without impacting service or creating excess inventory.
- Influence cross-functional teams at all levels to reach consensus on the 18-month forecast.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years experience with the Arkieva demand forecasting tool, or similar statistical demand forecasting tools.
- Strong business and financial acumen.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Robust written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex data simply.
- Capacity to build effective working relationships with internal colleagues and external partners.
- Ability to influence across various levels in the organization and across functions.
- Project/program management skills; ability to lead cross-functional project teams and manage supplier teams.
Nice to Have
- Experience in S&OP and NPL processes.
- Experience in BI or similar reporting/dashboard tools.
- Experience in continuous improvement processes and methodologies.
- Prior experience in the development and analysis of scorecards to leverage data and KPIs to drive business improvements.
