Role OverviewJoin a national project delivery team focused on defined contribution retirement plans. In this position, you'll provide technical guidance on compliance, plan design, vendor oversight, and fiduciary responsibilities. You'll work closely with consultants, clients, and internal stakeholders to ensure high-quality outcomes that meet or exceed expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject matter expert on DC plan compliance, plan provisions, and regulatory requirements
- Address client and consultant inquiries, identifying solutions or escalating as needed
- Prepare plan amendments, summary plan descriptions, and employee communications
- Assist with correcting compliance issues and supporting plan audits
- Conduct fee benchmarking and support vendor selection through RFP processes
- Support plan implementations related to design changes, provider transitions, or corporate transactions
- Perform non-discrimination testing and cost impact analyses for plan modifications
- Contribute to ongoing client engagements and long-term advisory relationships
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines and improve service delivery
- Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and streamline workflows within client projects
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree is required, along with at least 10 years of experience in defined contribution plan administration, consulting, or related fields. You must have direct experience with 401(k) and 403(b) plans, including deep knowledge of ERISA, the Internal Revenue Code, and other applicable regulations.
Essential skills include strong attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and proven success in client-facing roles. You should be comfortable working independently and remotely while also contributing effectively within team settings. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is required, and experience working across distributed teams is essential.
Certifications such as ASPPA or CEBS are valued but not mandatory. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, technically adept, and committed to delivering accurate, client-centered solutions on time.
Work Environment
This role operates in a hybrid model, allowing flexibility for remote work while supporting collaboration with colleagues across locations. Occasional travel may be required. The position demands strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt to evolving client needs.
Compensation & Benefits
This position offers a base salary range of $65,000 to $80,000 per year, with eligibility for an annual performance-based bonus.
