Cencora is hiring a Dedicated Account Specialist

About the Role

Cencora is looking for a Dedicated Account Specialist to be the primary point of contact for large enterprise health system clients. In this role, you will be responsible for addressing service requests, ensuring swift issue resolution, and contributing to client savings initiatives. You will work onsite to provide expert customer service and training for our ordering platform.

What You'll Do

  • Actively identify and address client service needs and issues, determining appropriate internal support and escalating to ensure complete resolution.
  • Provide onsite, expert customer service support for new account setup, new client associate training, and reporting out of the Cencora ordering platform, ABC Order (ABCO).
  • Serve as the on-site subject matter expert for the Cencora ABCO ordering platform and health system report generation and interpretation.
  • Partner with external client representatives and internal Cencora support to ensure business goals are met.
  • Meet with client stakeholders to establish mutually agreed upon timelines for reporting and progress updates.
  • Participate in regularly required service compliance training and complete all training on time.
  • Understand customer-specific nuances and ensure internal teams have knowledge needed to drive alignment between the customer and internal stakeholders.
  • Participate in projects focused on client saving initiatives such as group purchasing organization optimization, contract optimization, or inventory optimization.
  • Work with internal Cencora teams on appropriate client retention strategy, taking initiative to ensure needs and timelines are met.
  • Analyze data functions including allocation tracking reports, backorder reports, contract compliance reports, generic conversion opportunity reports, 340B savings reports, quarterly business connects, and savings opportunity reports.
  • Take direction from account support team lead.

What We're Looking For

  • Broad training in fields such as pharmaceutical purchasing, pharmacy technician, supply chain, or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four-year bachelor’s degree program or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • 2+ years of experience within a pharmacy or healthcare finance department.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, strategic planning, and project management skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; able to present information professionally and effectively to customers, associates, and management.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Analytical and process-oriented mindset.
  • Comfortable working across multiple departments in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong time management skills; ability to schedule customer appointments in advance.
  • Good understanding of specific business segment.

Nice to Have

  • Pharmacy technician certification and/or experience as a pharmaceutical buyer highly preferred.

Work Mode

This is a hybrid position based in the Phoenix, AZ metropolitan area (PST).
