Responsibilities
- Direct pharmacy program activities, curriculum development, and course creation according to university procedures.
- Maintain uniformity in syllabi, textbooks, learning outcomes, and other academic standards across the program.
- Oversee recruitment and admission of pharmacy students.
- Evaluate and suggest program improvements using established processes and protocols.
- Manage the annual Learning Outcomes Review process, ensuring timely collection of learning outcome and required data, input into appropriate templates, and collaborative review with faculty.
- Propose action plans based on clear presentation of evidence, findings, and conclusions.
- Lead the development of new courses, ensuring quality outcomes and consistent implementation.
- Communicate pharmacy industry trends within the university.
- Represent the university's pharmacy programs and activities to the community, professional groups, and public entities in a professional and positive manner.
- Prepare and submit reports as needed.
- Participate in accreditation reviews, surveys, and audits by external and internal organizations when requested.
- Ensure an active Advisory Board meets the required number of times annually to support university goals.
- Guarantee all university pharmacy programs comply with state-specific Bureau of Consumer Affairs, State Board of Pharmacy, and Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) standards, and represent the university and its programs to these entities.
- Contribute to the ongoing systematic development, implementation, and evaluation of pharmacy programs to achieve National Board of Pharmacy Licensure Examination (NAPLEX) pass rates aligned with organizational targets.
- Lead clinical coordination efforts to ensure sufficient quality and quantity of clinical sites, maintaining the university's strong reputation.
- Ensure consistency in clinical practices, protocols, and processes across the university.
