12Go is hiring a Data Scientist to join our Data team and help build the leading online travel platform. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining predictive models and machine learning solutions, working closely with stakeholders to translate needs into effective implementations.
What You'll Do
- Analyze points of ML/DS implementation within the platform
- Develop and maintain predictive models
- Develop prescriptive analysis solutions
- Manage and maintain current models and solutions
- Model solutions based on historical data
- Communicate with stakeholders to translate requirements into solutions for implementation
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field
- 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Data Scientist, Machine Learning Engineer, or Quantitative Analyst
- Strong knowledge of Python and experience with machine learning algorithms
- Proficiency in SQL for complex queries and aggregations
- Strong grasp of statistics & probability, including hypothesis testing, confidence intervals, and distributions
- Understanding of model evaluation and validation techniques
- Experience working with large-scale structured data
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and production-ready code
- Experience building, validating, and deploying ML models in real-world environments
- Experience with A/B testing or experimentation frameworks
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to translate complex technical work into clear insights for business stakeholders
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, comfortable working in cross-functional teams
Nice to Have
- Experience in travel, e-commerce, or marketplace platforms
- Knowledge of deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and ML pipelines (SageMaker, MLflow, Airflow)
- Experience with ClickHouse or other high-performance analytical databases
- Experience with LLMs / NLP for text analytics or customer interaction data
- Contribution to open-source projects or a strong Kaggle/competition track record
- Experience with big data tools (Spark, Databricks, or equivalent)
