Sartorius is seeking a Data Scientist to join our global team, supporting sales teams and driving customer applications within the Biopharma and Pharma industry. In this remote role based in North America, you'll apply advanced data analytics to solve business problems. You can expect to travel approximately 30% of the time.
What You'll Do
- Work within a global team of data scientists who are subject matter experts in Biopharma Data Analytics applications.
- Assist customers in solving business-related problems using advanced data analytics.
- Support the implementation of advanced analytics in the industry.
- Act as a subject matter expert supporting Sartorius sales teams in pre- and post-sales activities.
- Serve as a point of contact for customer and internal Sartorius projects.
- Analyze data and build data-driven models using the Umetrics software suite.
- Coordinate work with colleagues in other regions for accounts with a global presence.
- Train customers on the use of SIMCA®, MODDE®, SIMCA®-online, and Umetrics® Studio.
- Maintain customer contact to secure project momentum and discover new opportunities.
- Create technical documents, application notes, and reports.
- Report software feedback to support the development of next-generation tools.
- Attend and present at conferences, seminars, and forums.
- Develop and cultivate strong relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as engineering, life sciences, or informatics.
- 2+ years of work experience within the Biopharma or Pharma industry.
- 2+ years of working knowledge in applied statistics, including MVDA, DOE, MSPC, PAT, QbD, Model Predictive Control (MPC), and AI/Machine Learning.
Nice to Have
- A Master’s degree.
- Excellent communication and strong presentation skills.
- Working knowledge of the Umetrics Suite of Data Analytics Solutions (MODDE, SIMCA, SIMCA-online, etc.).
- Working knowledge of Python and/or other scripting languages.
- Familiarity with data historians, manufacturing data, and development data.
- Teaching, consulting, or project management experience.
