Tiger Analytics is seeking a Data Scientist to play a key role in driving data-driven decision-making across our merchandising, supply chain, and planning teams. You will build predictive models and optimization solutions that directly impact product assortment, demand forecasting, and inventory efficiency.
What You'll Do
- Develop and implement advanced analytics models for assortment optimization, SKU rationalization, and space planning.
- Build predictive models for demand forecasting, replenishment planning, and inventory optimization.
- Design and deploy ML models for inventory forecasting and allocation strategies.
- Work with large structured and unstructured datasets from POS, ERP, and supply chain systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, product, and engineering to translate business challenges into analytical solutions.
- Communicate insights and recommendations clearly to stakeholders through data storytelling, visualizations, and presentations.
- Share passion for Data Science with the broader enterprise community; identify and develop long-term processes, frameworks, tools, methods and standards.
- Collaborate, coach, and learn with a growing team of experienced Data Scientists.
- Stay connected with external sources of ideas through conferences and community engagements.
What We're Looking For
- 6+ years of experience in Data Science within the Retail/CPG domain.
- Strong hands-on experience in Assortment Planning & Inventory Management analytics.
- Strong programming skills in Python & SQL with demonstrated use of scientific computing libraries (NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, scikit-learn).
- Experience in time-series forecasting models (ARIMA, Prophet, LSTM, XGBoost).
- Hands‑on in experimentation, diagnostics, and evaluation, comfortable operating with imperfect data and iterative validation; experience supporting merchandising, assortment planning, or supply‑chain decisions in a large enterprise environment.
- Experience with optimization techniques (Linear Programming, Mixed Integer Programming).
- Hands-on experience with BI tools (Tableau/Power BI).
- Experience developing models from inception to deployment.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
