Trust Keith is looking for a Data Protection Officer (Contractor) to act as the primary Data Protection Expert for a dedicated set of customers, delivering outstanding service independently. What You'll Do
- Act as the primary Data Protection Expert for a set of Trust Keith customers, independently delivering consistently outstanding service.
- Manage the implementation and delivery of a comprehensive privacy programme through the Trust Keith platform, ensuring progress aligns with agreed customer expectations.
- Lead customer-facing calls, including Risk Committee meetings and monthly workshops, leveraging the Trust Keith platform to identify and communicate priority risks, and resolve data privacy challenges.
- Manage customers’ data protection support queries in line with data compliance requirements and our SLAs.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of your customers' risks and priorities by conducting data protection audits.
- Actively share both customer insights and your feedback on our platform with the Product Team to drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with Customer Success, Product, and Operations to enhance our service, operations, and contribute to the growth of our product.
- Work closely with our Lead DPO and the wider team of privacy experts, contributing to the growth and culture of our privacy department.
What We're Looking For
- Able to commit to a minimum of 16 hours per week, with the possibility of increasing to 32 or more as business needs evolve between Monday and Friday, UK time zone.
- At least 4+ years of experience in a data protection-oriented role.
- Proven experience navigating a broad spectrum of data protection regulations such as UK/EU GDPR, PECR, and CCPA.
- Self-motivated, thrive on working independently, and can manage your workload effectively without constant oversight.
- Experience working with multiple customer/contractor roles.
- Exceptional customer-facing and stakeholder management skills to build and maintain excellent customer relationships.
- Understand risk management, including monitoring, advising and reporting on risks.
- Can simplify complex topics.
- Experience creating data protection documentation and assets such as IARs, RoPAs, privacy notices, etc., handling data subject access requests and breaches.
- Tech-savvy, eager to embrace new tools and push boundaries.

- Certifications such as CIPM, CIPP/E, LLM, or IAPP membership.

You will join a team of 16, working closely with our Lead DPO and a wider team of privacy experts. You will collaborate with Customer Success, Product, and Operations, reporting directly to the Lead DPO.

Work Mode
This is a fully remote position requiring availability during the UK time zone, Monday through Friday.
