Octopus Energy Group is looking for a Data Protection Manager to take ownership of our data protection and privacy framework. You'll be responsible for ensuring compliance and building a culture of data protection awareness across the organization.
What You'll Do
- Develop, implement, and maintain the company’s data protection policies and procedures.
- Act as a key point of contact for data protection queries and incidents.
- Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and monitor compliance.
- Deliver training and awareness programs to embed data protection best practices.
- Advise on data protection requirements for new projects and initiatives.
What We're Looking For
- Substantial, proven experience in a dedicated data protection or privacy role.
- Expert knowledge of UK GDPR and UK data protection legislation.
- Experience managing data subject requests and data breaches.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to translate complex legal requirements into practical business guidance.
Work Mode
This role operates on a hybrid basis, with flexibility for remote work within the UK and access to our London office.
