tem is seeking a Data Manager to lead and scale our growing Data team. You will focus on people leadership, delivery support, and team development, guiding technical direction at a structural level and partnering with Product and Engineering to align data efforts with our business goals.
What You'll Do
- Lead and grow a high-performing data team, owning hiring, onboarding, performance, and progression across both data engineering and analytics.
- Champion role clarity and tailored progression, building clear distinctions between Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, and Data Analytics roles while evolving career paths and KPIs.
- Create clarity and drive delivery, helping the team stay focused on high-impact priorities and bringing structure to work.
- Support technical direction at a team level, supporting engineers and analysts in making smart architectural and design decisions to maintain quality and scalability.
- Partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Operations to translate business needs into data priorities.
- Foster a scalable data culture, setting up the team for long-term success and supporting future leaders.
What We're Looking For
- Proven data team leadership experience managing data engineering and analytics teams in a fast-paced environment.
- A strong team and delivery focus, comfortable leading without being the technical expert, unblocking progress, and helping teams deliver consistently.
- Technically credible with a solid understanding of modern data concepts like ELT vs ETL, pipeline orchestration, observability, data warehouse design, dbt, and BI tools.
- A great cross-functional partner with experience working closely with Product, Engineering, Ops, and other Data teams to shape data strategy.
- A future-oriented leader excited about building a long-term data organisation and supporting emerging leaders.
- A strong culture builder who leads with openness and empathy, creates psychological safety, and fosters inclusion and trust.

- Competitive salary: Band for this role is £100,500 or equivalent in local currency. Salaries are reviewed twice a year using real-time market data.
