What You’ll Do
- Design and maintain enterprise data models that align with federal and state regulatory frameworks.
- Develop integration strategies across disparate systems and agencies, ensuring interoperability and data consistency.
- Architect cloud-native solutions on AWS, Azure, or GCP tailored to government security and compliance needs.
- Lead workshops and technical reviews with stakeholders to define data requirements and governance practices.
- Implement data quality frameworks, metadata standards, and monitoring protocols to ensure reliability.
- Guide modernization efforts by supporting migrations from legacy environments to cloud platforms.
- Mentor data engineers and junior architects, fostering technical excellence across teams.
What We’re Looking For
- 8+ years of experience in data architecture or engineering, with direct exposure to U.S. federal or state government projects.
- Proven expertise in data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, data warehousing, and API integrations.
- Working knowledge of SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, Spark, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Familiarity with FISMA, FedRAMP, NIST, HIPAA, and CUI compliance requirements.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and public sector stakeholders.
- Cloud certifications are valued but not required.
