Prada Group is hiring a Data Engineer to join our global Cloud Data Platform team based in Milan. You will be central to managing data operations, focusing on the analysis, modeling, and development of key datasets for sales, customer, and marketing intelligence.

What You'll Do

Gain a deep understanding of business needs to support model evolution and digital transformation, with a focus on customer intelligence and sales KPIs.
Design, maintain, and enhance key datasets to ensure they are high-quality, certified, and easily accessible for enterprise users and systems.
Analyze and develop data operations and pipelines following enterprise guidelines for data quality, governance, and catalog curation.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to build scalable, agile data solutions.
Develop, deploy, and manage highly efficient, automated data pipelines using cloud technologies like Azure, Databricks, Unity Catalog, and Git-based CI/CD.
Continuously adapt to evolving requirements by maintaining and improving existing data pipelines with an agile approach.

What We're Looking For

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related STEM field.
3+ years of intensive data operations experience in Big Data and cloud infrastructure/platforms.
Strong analytics experience in the retail industry, with a focus on modeling and leveraging sales and customer KPIs.
A strong background in Big Data approaches and DBMS/Data Warehouse modeling, optimization, and management.
Deep knowledge of SQL and Spark-related programming languages.
Extensive expertise in data preparation, integration, modeling, and governance processes.
Proven experience designing and managing end-to-end, production-ready data solutions.
Experience developing microservices and API solutions (e.g., REST, OAuth).
Proficiency in configuring and utilizing cloud infrastructures, with a strong preference for Microsoft Azure services.
Familiarity with stream-processing systems, lambda architectures, Delta Live Tables, Azure Event Hubs, and Spark Streaming.
Fluency in both Italian and English, written and spoken.

Nice to Have

Knowledge of retail and/or customer-related processes and back-end operational systems.
