Responsibilities
- Build secure and scalable data ingestion systems to transfer data from on-premises SQL Server databases to Azure Data Lake using consistent design patterns.
- Create and support reusable data transformation frameworks, such as medallion architecture layers (bronze, silver, gold), to standardize modeling and improve data trustworthiness.
- Implement data governance policies across the lakehouse environment, covering classification, access management, lineage tracking, and audit compliance.
- Design and manage data quality monitoring processes to identify, notify, and correct data issues across pipelines.
- Develop, deploy, maintain, and enhance data workflows using Databricks for efficient processing.
- Work with technical and cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design data solutions, and execute implementations on the Databricks platform.
- Improve performance and scalability of Databricks jobs through optimization techniques.
- Support team members in diagnosing and resolving complex technical challenges.
- Maintain strong capabilities in analysis, planning, problem-solving, written communication, and presentations.
