About the Role
The role involves developing and supporting electrical infrastructure for data center environments, focusing on power distribution, system integration, and performance optimization.
Responsibilities
- Design electrical systems for scalable data center operations
- Perform load analysis and power distribution planning
- Ensure compliance with national and local electrical codes
- Collaborate with mechanical and structural engineers on integrated solutions
- Develop single-line diagrams and electrical schematics
- Support commissioning and testing of electrical systems
- Evaluate and recommend improvements to power efficiency
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues
- Work with vendors to select appropriate electrical components
- Maintain documentation for all electrical designs and modifications
- Lead electrical safety assessments and risk mitigation
- Coordinate with construction teams during installation phases
- Support energy audits and sustainability initiatives
- Integrate backup power systems including UPS and generators
- Ensure redundancy and fault tolerance in electrical architecture
- Participate in design reviews and technical evaluations
- Manage electrical aspects of facility expansions
- Apply industry best practices to system design and operation
- Assist in developing operations and maintenance procedures
- Stay current with advancements in data center power technologies
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- Experience with hyperscale data center projects
- Certification in data center design or operations
- Project experience in mission-critical facilities
- Knowledge of renewable energy integration
- Familiarity with microgrid configurations
- Experience with commissioning high-voltage systems
- Working knowledge of power quality analysis
- Exposure to international electrical standards
- Leadership in cross-functional technical teams
