Equinix is hiring a Data Center Critical Facilities Technician to maintain and evolve the critical infrastructure that powers the digital world. In this onsite role at our Pantin, France facility, you will specialize in preventative and corrective maintenance, incident response, and vendor coordination for essential systems.
What You'll Do
- Perform specialized preventative and corrective maintenance on-site to critical facility components and systems.
- Execute moderately difficult repairs, installations, and inspections for critical facility systems.
- Monitor the Building Monitoring System (BMS) and resolve alarms requiring considerable judgment.
- Operate and maintain plumbing, fire suppression, and life-safety systems.
- Implement energy efficiency measures and identify Single Points of Failure (SPOFs).
- Assist with coordinating critical infrastructure and direct vendors on skilled tasks.
- Track and implement the work approval process for service providers.
- Create and submit specialized site logs, data for permits (MOPs), and scripts.
- Respond to all on-site incidents and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Complete skilled work requests, circuit installations, and advanced office equipment troubleshooting.
- Carry out complex infrastructure projects and support lifecycle maintenance.
- Collaborate to resolve difficult facility incidents and mentor team members.
- Inform stakeholders of inventory needs for critical parts and equipment.
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Proven years of relevant experience.
