About the Role

This position is currently seeking a Data Architect in Washington (USA). As a Data Architect, you will spearhead the creation and implementation of robust, secure, and high-performance data infrastructure supporting operational and clinical decision-making processes. You will collaborate extensively with analysts, business stakeholders, and engineering teams to seamlessly integrate data from diverse sources, optimize data workflows, and guarantee reliable access to mission-critical information. This role demands expertise in contemporary data platforms, cloud technologies, and healthcare data standards. You will construct and maintain databases, data lakes, and APIs to generate actionable insights while ensuring strict adherence to security and governance protocols. The opportunity provides a fully remote work environment within the continental US, enabling direct impact on healthcare data management for a large-scale federal initiative. Accountabilities: · Conceptualize, construct, and maintain scalable data architectures, pipelines, and storage ecosystems. · Synchronize data from multiple healthcare and operational systems, guaranteeing interoperability and quality. · Craft and refine ETL processes for efficient data ingestion, transformation, and storage. · Establish and enforce data governance, security, and compliance standards across all platforms. · Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to define requirements and deliver actionable data solutions. · Develop and maintain APIs and data services providing secure data asset access. · Monitor, diagnose, and optimize data systems while comprehensively documenting architectures, flows, and specifications. Requirements: · Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or related discipline. · 5–10 years of experience in data architecture, engineering, or database development. · Comprehensive knowledge of relational and non-relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB). · Proficiency in SQL, Python, Spark, or ETL frameworks (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Databricks). · Experience with cloud data platforms, data warehousing, and API development. · Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance standards, preferably in healthcare. · Exceptional problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking capabilities. · Superior communication skills, including technical documentation and cross-team collaboration. · Additional qualifications include familiarity with big data tools (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka), data visualization (Power BI, Tableau), healthcare standards (HL7, FHIR), and prior experience with federal healthcare programs.
