This position is shared through a talent matching platform on behalf of a partner organization. We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Data Engineering in United States. This role provides an opportunity to engage with pivotal data and software infrastructure driving insights across organizational domains. You will partner with interdisciplinary teams to architect, construct, and sustain high-caliber data pipelines, orchestration frameworks, and backend services supporting critical decision-making and user experiences. Accountabilities: · Develop, implement, and maintain data pipelines, backend services, and orchestration systems supporting analytics, modeling, and organizational needs. · Generate and sustain foundational datasets ensuring reliability, interpretability, and performance optimization. · Engage with cross-functional partners in Data Science, Product, Finance, and Engineering to validate data solutions meeting business requirements. · Compose and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for designed, constructed, and operational systems. · Participate in team on-call rotations ensuring system reliability and monitoring data integrity. · Guide peers and contribute to knowledge sharing, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives. · Collaborate with organizational engineers to enhance system design, architectural approaches, and overall software quality. Requirements: · 2+ years of professional experience in data and software engineering. · Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Java, etc.) and SQL. · Robust debugging, technical investigation, and problem-solving capabilities. · Experience with contemporary data storage and transformation technologies (e.g., BigQuery, DBT, Airflow). · Familiarity with ETL/rETL tools (e.g., Hightouch, Census, Rudderstack). · Exceptional technical communication and collaboration skills in asynchronous and remote environments. · Preferred: Python and Django ORM experience, maintaining large DBT projects, experience with Medallion Architecture, product analytics, technical writing, and mentoring engineers.
