Glean is hiring a Senior Data Analyst to join our People Analytics function. This role focuses on supporting our US operations remotely from Latin America. You will leverage SQL and Power BI to deliver critical insights, manage service tickets, and ensure data quality across our systems.
What You'll Do
- Triage People Analytics ServiceNow tickets, assist users with requests, and troubleshoot Power BI reports.
- Create tickets for other technical teams on data quality issues and follow up on existing cases.
- Write SQL queries for ad-hoc requests and perform root cause analysis for data quality issues.
- Create new or enhance existing Power BI reports under data governance guidelines and develop technical documentation.
- Run and troubleshoot biweekly simple R scripts and monthly complex Python scripts for data cleaning and automation.
- Perform root cause analysis for data quality issues across databases and Power BI Semantic Models.
- Understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in data analysis, specifically within People Analytics.
- Advanced SQL expertise in SQL Server or Snowflake for complex query development, performance optimization, window functions, CTEs, and stored procedures. You must be able to handle large datasets and perform efficient root cause analysis across multiple data sources.
- Expert-level Power BI knowledge: Deep knowledge of DAX, Row Level Security (RLS) implementation, Semantic Model optimization, Power BI Service administration, and advanced report troubleshooting.
- Intermediate Python proficiency: Data cleaning with pandas/numpy, automation scripting, working with APIs/JSON data, basic error handling, and scheduled task execution.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced English proficiency.
Nice to Have
- Experience migrating Tableau dashboards to Power BI.
- Experience with PowerPlatform components (Power Apps, Power Automate).
- Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric workspace management and lakehouse patterns.
