The Digital Services team at Chainalysis comprises exceptional cryptocurrency researchers and enablement professionals who establish credibility in digital ledgers by connecting cryptocurrency transactions to tangible entities–spanning from regulated platforms to criminal networks. As a Data Analyst, you'll collaborate with investigators in joint blockchain forensic missions and craft innovative solutions to both distinctive and recurring challenges. Your data-driven discoveries will be employed for network exploration, and help uncover behaviors and interaction patterns derived from blockchain activities. An ideal candidate for this position is relentlessly inquisitive and delights in discovering novel approaches to optimize and enhance investigative methodologies. Please note that we are seeking candidates located in New Delhi, or within reasonable commuting distance. In this role, you'll: - Analyze extensive datasets to detect criminal signatures across multiple blockchain networks - Leverage Chainalysis tools and information to expose and define relationships between blockchain entities - Conduct sophisticated research into distinctive datasets to identify and process investigative collections - Cultivate data science expertise among teammates and clients - Deliver meaningful insights directly to customers through data analytics, enhancing user experience and strengthening existing partnerships - Develop comprehensive understanding of our rich datasets, enabling internal and external data visibility - Create and implement pioneering solutions addressing expanding customer and organizational requirements We're seeking candidates who possess: - Proven proficiency in data querying languages (e.g. SQL), scripting languages (e.g. Python) - Foundational understanding of blockchain analytics or forensic investigations - Data-driven investigative research background in intelligence, law enforcement, or academic environments - Previous experience applying data analytics to real-world challenges, demonstrating effective communication with technical and non-technical audiences Preferred additional experience: - Familiarity with cloud data platforms like Databricks or Snowflake - Expertise using visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI - Background producing investigative reports in cybersecurity or geopolitical domains About Chainalysis Blockchain technology is driving a growing wave of innovation.
