About the Role We're seeking a Databricks Architect to serve as the inaugural technical specialist in our data/BI domain. This pivotal, high-impact position involves architecting analytics foundations, defining data strategies, and collaborating directly with leadership to realize data-driven decision-making. You'll manage everything from pipeline development to dashboard design—establishing groundwork for a world-class data environment. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines in Databricks for precise, dependable data processing. • Create Power BI dashboards for executive audiences, converting strategies into intuitive visual representations. • Engage with analysts, stakeholders, and leadership to comprehend requirements and deliver pragmatic solutions. • Develop real-time or frequent-refresh data processes supporting timely strategic decisions. • Optimize and maintain existing dashboards and pipelines for enhanced performance, accuracy, and usability. • Implement automated reporting workflows, including refresh scheduling, monitoring, and reliability. • Support and maintain cloud data infrastructure with emphasis on scalability, governance, and security. • Function as a communication bridge between business leadership and technical teams, translating complex requirements and technological capabilities. • Establish and champion foundational data/BI practices, including data modeling, metadata management, documentation, and pipeline design. What You Need to Succeed • Comprehensive expertise with Databricks (ETL/ELT pipelines, transformation, data processing) • Extensive experience constructing Power BI dashboards and data models • Advanced SQL skills and experience with relational/cloud data warehouses • Capability to work autonomously, establish technical direction, and collaborate with executive-level stakeholders • Exceptional communication skills for engaging both technical and non-technical audiences • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with continuous improvement orientation • Experience operating in fully remote environments Nice-to-Have • Cloud platform experience (Azure, AWS, GCP), particularly Azure data services • Programming skills in Python or Scala • Familiarity with alternative BI tools (Tableau, Looker) • Understanding of data governance, data cataloging, and metadata management • Previous experience collaborating across multiple time zones Our Team We're committed to cultivating an inspiring, growth-oriented environment where every individual feels valued, empowered, and supported.
