Join our growth journey! About the Role Q4 seeks a Team Lead, Data Engineering to guide a high-performance data team. You'll supervise sophisticated data pipeline and infrastructure design, ensuring alignment with business and customer requirements. Your role involves mentoring and developing the data engineering team, promoting robust execution, strategic alignment, and collaborative synergy. This leadership position demands extensive technical expertise and a people-oriented approach. Key Responsibilities - Architect, construct, and maintain expansive, scalable data pipelines and supporting infrastructure - Aggregate complex datasets meeting functional and technical business specifications - Implement procedural and infrastructural enhancements, including automation and scalability optimization - Develop and sustain ETL/ELT processes utilizing SQL, AWS, and advanced data technologies - Create data and analytics tools supporting insight generation, performance measurement, and product refinement - Guarantee data security, governance, and systematic separation across organizational domains - Lead software development teams through coaching, mentoring, performance management, and technical guidance - Direct team delivery commitments adhering to established software development lifecycle processes - Identify and drive continuous improvement in engineering methodologies - Ensure comprehensive documentation, effective onboarding, and strategic alignment - Cultivate an environment promoting creativity, innovation, and psychological safety Key Tasks - Biweekly reporting of team performance metrics - Collaborate with product owners for development work estimation - Conduct and document weekly individual team member meetings - Communicate organizational priorities and strategic updates - Support data transformation, metadata management, dependency tracking, and workload optimization - Execute additional responsibilities as required by leadership Experience Required - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent field - 5+ years data engineering experience, including 3+ years at senior level - Advanced SQL proficiency and database expertise - Comprehensive AWS and big-data technology experience - Proven capabilities in data pipeline construction and scalable infrastructure development - Strong analytical skills including root-cause analysis - Demonstrated team leadership experience - Expertise in Agile/Scrum methodologies - Advanced architectural and software design capabilities - Exceptional organizational and communication skills - Proven problem-solving aptitude - Financial services industry understanding preferred Why Q4? - Comprehensive benefits supporting work-life balance - Flexible wellness programs - Professional development opportunities - Inclusive organizational culture We champion collective excellence, embracing diverse perspectives as innovation's catalyst.
