Gartner, Inc. is hiring a Data Analyst to act as a strategic partner to the Business & Technology Insights (BTI) team. You will power fact-based decision making through client-centric data, insights, and analytic tools, with a primary focus on generating business and operational insights into content and events-related assets that drive client retention.
What You'll Do
- Design and develop comprehensive end-to-end dashboards communicating the performance of content, interactions, and events assets.
- Standardize and automate key metrics such as top-read documents, document reach, and impact of interactions.
- Establish robust mechanisms to measure current performance of research assets and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Enhance content and interaction reporting by improving scorecards, operational reviews, and dashboards.
- Build deep expertise in Gartner research asset data and ensure analyses are robust and reliable.
- Collaborate closely with key stakeholders to understand business requirements and identify capabilities that drive analysis of performance and ROI.
- Design, implement, and refine methodologies to measure engagement and assess the impact of content and interactions on client retention.
- Lead efforts to automate existing dashboards, reports, and analyses to improve scalability and efficiency.
- Develop clear, compelling outputs that communicate root causes and tell a coherent story to address business challenges.
- Promote seamless collaboration within the team and facilitate knowledge sharing.
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of progressive business experience involving advanced business analytics, complex problem solving, and business strategy.
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Exceptional problem solving, critical thinking, and analytical reasoning skills.
- Strong technical understanding of data and skills to analyze and visualize.
- Experience in statistical analysis to identify patterns and trends.
- Experience in Excel & SQL is a must-have.
- Attention to detail regarding data hygiene, quality checks, and documentation.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments with rigorous prioritization.
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills in a highly matrixed environment.
- Outstanding structured, engaging, and compelling verbal and written communication.
Nice to Have
- Degree with a concentration in statistics, data science, mathematics, engineering, computer science, or operations research preferred.
- Experience in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) preferred.
- Experience in programming languages (e.g., Python, R) preferred.
