As a Customer Success Engineer, you'll play a key role in ensuring customers get the most out of their data streaming platforms. You'll work directly with clients during onboarding and beyond, guiding them through technical implementations and helping them overcome obstacles to production readiness.
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with customers to design and deploy production-grade streaming architectures that meet performance, scalability, and reliability goals
- Develop integrations, automation tools, and reusable technical assets that enhance customer experience
- Share knowledge through internal collaboration and external content such as blogs, documentation, and technical guides
- Partner with product, engineering, and support teams to surface customer feedback and improve platform capabilities
- Diagnose and resolve technical challenges related to performance, security, and system integration
- Advocate for customer needs across internal teams to ensure continuous improvement in service and product offerings
What We’re Looking For
- At least 7 years of experience in customer-facing technical roles involving distributed systems
- Hands-on experience with technologies like Kafka, Spark, Hadoop, or Cassandra
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages including Python, Java, Go, or JavaScript
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Understanding of security protocols including TLS, SASL, OAuth, OIDC, and Kerberos
- Ability to design high-availability and disaster-recovery solutions tailored to customer environments
- Strong communication skills with the ability to shift seamlessly between technical and strategic discussions
- Experience with infrastructure automation tools like Kubernetes or Ansible is a plus
- Willingness to travel occasionally—up to 25%—for customer meetings or industry events
