About the Role

The Home Depot is hiring a Customer Service Representative to provide quality, professional support for homedepot.com customers over the phone. In this remote role, you will create an effortless customer experience by answering product, order, and service questions, performing sales transactions, and resolving post-order issues to drive customer loyalty.

What You'll Do

  • Answer inbound phone calls from customers, quickly assess needs, and proactively provide solutions with high accuracy.
  • Document details of customer interactions into the system.
  • Provide superior customer service for product inquiry, order placement, and order follow-up.
  • Drive customer loyalty by providing excellent service and accurate product/service knowledge.
  • Look for ways to reduce customer effort in ordering, shipping, inquiry, and return/refund experiences.
  • Keep customers informed on order status and resolve errors cost-effectively.
  • Resolve post-order issues such as returns and follow up to ensure needs are fulfilled.
  • Act as a liaison between customer and manufacturer or freight carrier as needed.
  • Meet or exceed performance requirements including customer service skills, accuracy, schedule adherence, and speed to resolution.
  • Partner with escalation group for additional order support, customer follow-up, or handling complex cases.

What We're Looking For

  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
  • High school diploma and/or GED.
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience.

Nice to Have

  • College Degree preferred.
  • 3 or more years of customer service or retail sales experience preferred.

Team & Environment

This position reports to a Supervisor Contact Center and has no direct responsibility for supervising others.
