CIBC is looking for a Contact Centre Representative for a 12-month contract. As the first point of contact for clients calling in, you will work in a fast-paced, remote environment to resolve their banking needs, deepen relationships, and identify opportunities to match them with the right products.
What You'll Do
- Focus on each client experience and connect on a personal level to offer an exceptional client experience.
- Engage in client-focused interactions that are meaningful and deliver trusted advice.
- Provide support for clients by helping them to manage their accounts and products.
- Connect and refer clients to the right CIBC contacts to enable their financial success.
- Listen, ask questions, and put yourself in the client’s shoes to understand their needs.
- Recommend solutions based on client needs and remain solution-focused.
- Effectively complete client requests by understanding their time is valuable.
- Use strong knowledge of CIBC systems and products to allow quick resolution of problems.
- Deeply understand CIBC’s suite of products and work with others to ensure clients are connected to the right people and opportunities.
- Proactively suggest banking options that will help clients achieve their financial goals.
- Understand and leverage other internal departments within CIBC to assist clients on additional needs.
What We're Looking For
- Ability to work independently as an Agent @ Home with a secure workspace, in a room or office with a door that closes it off from noises and distractions.
- Wired Internet connection, capable of continuously supporting excellent call quality and high-speed response rate (minimum download speed of 15 mbps and upload speed of 10 mbps).
- Satellite internet providers are prohibited and cannot be used.
- Availability and flexibility between Monday to Sunday, 7:00 AM to 12:00 AM.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada in the specified locations and, if applicable, hold a valid work or study permit.

Work Mode
This is a hybrid position based at our location in Halifax: 1809 Barrington St. It requires the ability to work effectively from a designated home office.
