About the Role

At Motion Industries, we are seeking a Customer Service Representative II to play a pivotal role in managing customer relationships and ensuring satisfaction. In this position, you will work under general supervision to determine and fulfill customer needs, while also providing support to specific accounts and guiding less experienced team members.

What You'll Do

  • Place customer orders via telephone, fax, email, electronic methods, or walk in (counter sales).
  • Influence gross profit through negotiating sale and purchase prices within defined parameters.
  • Build customer relationships to drive repeat business and identify process improvements.
  • Order items to maintain appropriate inventory levels for customers.
  • Place orders without approval for orders up to $5,000 per line and $10,000 per purchase order.
  • Expedite backorders, pull inventory, and prepare orders for shipment.
  • Source products from branch inventory, distribution center inventory, or supplier inventory.
  • Determine the most cost-effective shipping method for customer orders.
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding products, provide quotes, and handle order entry.
  • Assist less experienced Customer Service Representatives with addressing customer needs and resolving problems.
  • May adjust non-contract customer pricing based on competition to maximize profit.
  • May handle customer returns.
  • May support specific customer(s).

What We're Looking For

  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of related experience or an equivalent combination.
  • Excellent communication skills including written, verbal, and listening.
  • Strong ability to multi-task and excellent time management skills.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Basic product knowledge.
  • Reliability, organization, and attention to detail.
