nVent is hiring a Customer Service Rep

About the Role

nVent is seeking a Customer Service Representative in Shanghai to be the primary contact for our customers, executing all activities with efficiency and professionalism. You will assist the Customer Care Manager in fulfilling team goals, support the sales team, and help implement company strategy to meet key business objectives.

What You'll Do

  • Provide pricing, product availability, and order due dates to customers and the sales team.
  • Create and administer quotations based on sales team instructions and list pricing, assigning quotes in Salesforce.
  • Process orders and claims accurately using the ERP system M3 and SFDC, focusing on local and export orders to the APAC region.
  • Manage open orders: provide status updates, communicate delays, follow up on due/overdue orders internally, and arrange shipping.
  • Compile status reports on current backorders as required.
  • Track and trace consignments and follow up on orders.
  • Escalate product information requests to application engineers or technical support.
  • Respond professionally and timely to email requests and enquiries from customers and the sales team.
  • Perform daily invoicing and distribution of invoices.

What We're Looking For

  • 3–5+ years’ experience in a Customer Service setting is required.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite is required.
  • Knowledge of ERP/order management systems as well as Salesforce.
  • Knowledge of international trading and shipping.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to utilize written and verbal communication effectively.
  • Ability to interface with people at all levels within and outside the organization.
  • Ability to multi-task and juggle shifting priorities to satisfy customer requests.
  • Ability to speak with a wide variety of internal and external customers.
  • Ability and willingness to work with different departments including technical support, engineering, sales, product management, finance, planning, and logistics.

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor’s Degree; a degree in Engineering, Finance, or Economics is highly preferred.
  • Leadership potential.

You will be a member of the customer care organization, assisting the Customer Care Manager and reporting directly to them.

This is an onsite position located in Shanghai.
