As a Customer Sales Director, you will shape and execute strategy for a portfolio of Commercial and Enterprise accounts, focusing on long-term retention and revenue expansion. Operating in a hybrid model based in Austin, you’ll navigate complex sales cycles, align with technical stakeholders, and ensure customers achieve measurable value from their data investments.
What You'll Do
- Develop and implement strategic plans to grow revenue within existing accounts, identifying expansion opportunities across analytics engineering, data platform, and governance teams
- Manage concurrent sales cycles, guiding customers through renewal and upsell processes with a focus on value realization
- Monitor customer health signals and engagement patterns to proactively protect renewals and deepen executive relationships
- Collaborate across technical and business functions to align product usage with customer outcomes
Requirements
- Minimum of four years in SaaS sales or account management with a consistent record of exceeding performance goals
- Proven ability to thrive in fast-moving, high-growth environments with evolving priorities
- Strong consultative approach when engaging technical buyers and business decision-makers
- Self-motivated and organized, with the ability to manage a diverse set of accounts independently
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in analytics, ETL, business intelligence, or open-source software ecosystems
- Familiarity with dbt or the modern data stack, including platforms such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or Databricks
- Experience selling into data engineering or data platform teams
- Understanding of consumption-based or usage-driven pricing models
- Proficiency with MEDD(P)ICC or Command of the Message sales frameworks
