Farmers Insurance is looking for a Customer Care Representative to be the first point of contact for our customers and agents. You will provide crucial support by answering questions about coverage, rates, billing, and policies through phone, chat, and email.
What You'll Do
- Deliver exceptional customer service while proactively seeking solutions within compliance and legal requirements.
- Communicate with customers via multiple channels while navigating multiple systems and platforms.
- Receive and respond to inquiries related to insurance matters, resolving moderately complex issues regarding policy provisions.
- Evaluate and interpret policy information within prescribed authority limits.
- Use account information and deep product knowledge to make appropriate recommendations or decisions.
- Document customer interactions and outcomes thoroughly in system.
- Escalate unresolved issues requiring advanced support for further resolution.
- Build knowledge through self-directed learning to stay informed about underwriting guidelines and legal updates.
- Help maintain department knowledge resources to keep them current.
- Actively listen to customer concerns to identify trends and recognize opportunities for process improvement.
- Partner with departments like Policy Support, Claims, and Underwriting to respond to inquiries.
- Adhere to a tightly regulated schedule and follow procedures for requesting time off.
What We're Looking For
- 1-3 years of customer service experience.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Producer/Agent Property and Casualty license will be required (must be obtained within a designated testing window).
- Call center or agency experience.
- Demonstrated customer service, verbal and written communication, and listening skills.
- Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Friendly, service-oriented, and maintains a high degree of professionalism.
- Excellent organizational skills; highly thorough and dependable.
- Flexibility to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
- Basic computer skills with ability to navigate multiple systems simultaneously.
- Able to troubleshoot basic issues with equipment such as headset, internet, and connectivity.
Nice to Have
- 1 year of experience in a call center environment or related field.
- Experience providing support within a high-volume, complex environment.
- Experience with the Microsoft Office suite of tools.

This is a fully remote position open to candidates in the following US states: Arizona, Florida, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Nebraska, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, and Texas.
